EVENT DETAILS

PADDLE FOR WATER

The first annual Paddle For Water event will take place October 23^rd, 2010. Pirate Coast will lead a group of Stand Up Paddlers who donated to the Paddle for Water cause. We will depart form the Newport Aquatic Center and paddle to Beacon Bay Beach to raise funds in support of Charity: Water.

Charity Water is non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. 1 billion people in the world today do not have access to the most basic human need, water. The truth is 42,000 people die each week and sadly 37,800 of those people are children under the age of 5 years old all due to unsafe water and unhygienic living conditions.

So with you help together we hope to raise funds to provide at least one clean water drinking well for the Bayaka people in the Central African Republic. A clean water well cost $5,000.00 which on average provides clean water fro 250 people for 20 years.
